Hello I am growing some chili peppers from seed and they were doing very well so far, there are 11 fruits fully formed but only 2 have turned red. Anyone know why that is? It's been more than two weeks since the 2 have turned red but the rest are stuck on dark green. Am I doing something wrong?

you can eat both green and red peppers, they taste pretty different and you can use them to make different salsa recipes. The more you know

Those plants desperately need fertilizer.
You'll probably need to fertilize them a couple of times over the season considering how small that pot.is.

Nah, hot peppers grown in these small home pots take a retardedly long time to ripen. I have a small hot pepper bush, and it's always been like that.

Too much water or poorly draining soil and not enough fertilizer.

Research bro, look up the specific needs for your specific plant and do what it needs. Fruiting plants of any kind need a lot of nutrients to grow fruit, give it a high potassium fertiliser every two weeks, I dunno, look it up.

the leaves are yellow and falling off dude, you're lucky they produced any fruit. not enough nutrients and the container looks pretty small too for so many plants.

Usually its a good idea to harvest the ones that are ready asap, as this encourages the plant to grow more fruits.
The fact the others havent ripened could just be the natural growth of the plant.
11 peppers is pretty good if you are new to growing or the first time growing peppers.

If they are spicy peppers your shit treatment of them will make them more spicy as the stress the plant is under makes it try to protect the few seeds it has made.

There are too many plants in that container. They won't do well no matter how much water and fertilizer you give them. You need to thin them out. The size of that container looks like it can support two, maybe three, healthy pepper plants.

What growing zone are you in? Aside from what others have mentioned (replanting into larger, well draining containers and fertilizing) I believe chilis are less likely to ripen if it’s too cold and they aren’t getting enough sun

You need to provide afternoon shade for your peppers, bigger pots, and some fertilizer.
