I've got boxed pancake mix and have everything necessary except milk. Can I use half-and-half? What about just plain water instead?

Check the box. Does it say complete? Water is fine. If it doesn’t you need milk, half and half works

Go to the store and buy some buttermilk RIGHT NOW

most mixes are just water now. protip: add oil/butter to the mix no matter what

You can use water and get more pan less cake
