>>21458090No, it's usually the opposite from what I've seen. As a kid I hated steak because my parents always cooked it well done then slathered it in A1 or gravy. We also didn't get good cuts. It was usually just some thin cheap T-bone.
It wasn't until I started cooking and buying my own food at restaurants that I realized steak doesn't have to be dry, and beef doesn't actually have to be cook until gray. My mom complain about any amount of pink in beef, so I thought that was normal. Now I prefer medium rare or rare because it's just better and more flavorful.
