Am I the only one with an irresistible urge to chop up meat and mix it in with mac & cheese when they are served next to each other? I mean, look at this. You have to do it.
I don’t get the urge to meat up my mac but whenever there’s sauce or gravy I almost always want to grab some bread

Chili Mac has been a staple of military rations and camping food forever and lately I've seen a lot of brewpubs etc. selling mac with pulled pork or BBQ brisket or whatever mixed into it. Personally I like to make it with silced and sauteed hot link sausages.
