This is kind of embarrassing, but, I replaced my Zojirushi with this cheap amazon rice cooker and I have no regrets.
I love the novelty of the cute handle that makes dishing plates super easy.

It does not have 'specialty' settings like brown rice, but, it cooks the rice in less than 20 minutes. The giant Zojirushi took a full hour for a rice cook cycle.

>>21461955 (OP)
Stop being (((cheap))) and just get a decent rice cooker. Also, Google is free, babes
Anonymous No.21462006 [Report]
>>21461994
Thanks! I'm not really too concerned about specialty settings, I used to have an old Hitachi rice cooker from the 70s my mom gave me but one of my fucking faggot idiot friends destroyed it.

Price range and size?
Anonymous No.21462025 [Report] >>21464343
>>21462017
I would prefer $40 and under
Bonus points for Amazon since I've still got like 5 more hours for prime days savings

And does it need to be chibi (small) sized because it looks more kawaii (cute)?
Anonymous No.21462045 [Report] >>21462056
>>21462038
It needs to be 小 (small for 4chan gweilos) but with enough capacity for two people

I just made rice.
Put rice and water in pot
Boil
Cover and reduce to low
Come back in 10 minutes or whatever
Take off heat
Come back whenever
Perfect rice.

At that price point its pretty much not gonna matter that much. You could get a smaller zojirushi but it wont have fuzzy logic or that.

And if you scratch the nonstick pot the replacement costs basically the same as a new unit.
Anonymous No.21462067 [Report]
>>21461994
That is embarrassing. The cooking time was the same. The zojirushi was soaking the rice before and letting it steam after. Thats the extra time.

don't you just get a basic one at whatever generic stores you have
they should be cheap as shit

All rice cookers are lined with plastics on the inside, you're literary poisoning yourself.
Cook your rice in a pot like a white person.

If you don't care for quality and want one that just werks, get a $20 Aroma cooker from walmart.

I bought a zujirushi from ebay for $20. Makes up to 3 cups of rice. Only an on and off switch. Its perfect.

As in ingesting actual poison in small doses, opposed to eating "bad" food that people call "poison" to shill their latest nutrition pseudoscience.
Heated plastic is actual poison.

Cheap rice cookers are ass. You need a good expensive Korean one
Anonymous No.21463192 [Report]
i just made rice on Instant Pot.
the trick for this is i let the pressure out naturally. you don't want to be greedy and manually let the steams out. it ruins the flavor. (rice or any other dishes).
just let it do its own thing.
Anonymous No.21463593 [Report] >>21464148
Instant Pot Pro owner here. It does perfect rice both long and short grain.

And hella lot more. Saw them for ~$60, which is a bloody steal. Consider.

what a coincidence I just paypigged this one
I like how the included rice paddle is nonstick. there's no residue on the paddle or the pot just after rinsing with water

my boomer had an instant pot already but I did not like using it. It was way too big and annoying to clean. and the lid comes off completely. and it made mushy rice when I tried

I'm going to save so much money ricemaxxing anyway

Instapot or crockpot. Both are able to cook rice and both do other things. As well as keep it warm.

If you want fast, get a traditional clay pot. Cooks on the stove, and gets you rice that asians drool over. They are like 30 bucks. Don't get the fancier more expensive cast iron ones, get the cheaper clay ones.
Anonymous No.21464343 [Report]
>>21462025
Get one of the clay pots off Amazon then. They are like 30 right now, even has a handle. They have nonstick designs too.
