With enough time and effort you can reproduce most things for a one-time meal, but I imagine some things would be prohibitively time-consuming and costly for their result unless you plan on doing it again and again. You could also get a meal that tastes just as good if you don't care for getting so far up your own ass for the sense of atmosphere that restaurants will go to.

It's the spice mix. You need curry tree leaves, in addition to the other, more common spices, and you need a masala mix which contains hing. Those two are pretty difficult to find.

Realistically? Neapolitan pizza. You need to buy a million unitaskers for this shit like a pizza peel, a pizza stone, a whole fucking pizza oven, a modern kitchen is just not equipped for this type of dish.
I can't think of anything else, if they cook it on a gas stove you can do it as well

Peking duck. There is some tricks they do that makes it fucking amazing, and it's a right pain to replicate at home.

Any ramen/pho type soup where you have to make stock for hours on end and the whole process is like 2-3 days is just so much easier to let a restaurant do.

Same for dry aged steak. That shit requires specialized equipment, a month of time, and it's just not worth it. So much easier to get it at a restaurant.

Pizza is also a right pain in the ass because it requires special equipment and takes 2-3 days proper.

In my cuntry, it is said that the Indian restaurants put used underwear (male) into their curries for the umami flavour (and black magic). Nowadays they simply use Ajinomoto.

pizza ovens come with stones anon. a peel is like $20, I have 3. you can get a ooni for like $350. Considering how cheap pizza is to make and how much delivery costs, its easy to justify the cost if you eat pizza once every week or two.

What else are you going to use a pizza peel for? What else are you going to use a pizza oven, especially such a specialized one like ooni?
Useless unitaskers. Pizza made sense when people had wood fired ovens not the electric shit

also asafoetida powder which is almost impossible to find in normal shops. the real game changer however is the sheer amount of ghee they use, using garlic & ginger paste and premade onion/veggie stock/puree.

I have gotten the texture of restaurant tier Indian curries down perfectly by using garlic/ginger paste, concentrated tomato puree & base stock, but can't get the flavour exactly 1:1 because I don't use ghee or curry leaves

They don't take any more effort than anything else. You just have to start prepping and cooking 12 hours before you want to eat. For 80IQ zoomers and 3rd worlders planning ahead is like witchcraft.
