To me it's strange they developed cutting tools but not the ability to make fire? - /ck/ (#21462868) [Archived: 702 hours ago]

Any other food related anthropology phenomena you've noticed?

Like surely they found a burning stick after a thunderstorm or something? Obviously the cutting tool was some sharp stone and you wouldn't need fire to make it I guess so it makes sense.

I think he's alluding that whatever cultures eat raw meat are primitive, comparing them to early hominids with the presumed connection of fire discovery and tool use

it's quite simple they were able to steal an egg from a nest and hunted some beast and had some cutting tool not only to kill it but to butcher it as well yet they ate the food raw as they had no fire which would provide them a means to heat a rock and cook the meat on or they could of thrown the meat straight onto the coals

I thought it was pretty straight forward?

yes yes because eating fresh meat you butchered yourself as opposed to processed meat done by mexicans in a factory is much more dangerous

It's fairly simple, but your writing is so poor that people can't understand what you'r etrying to say.
Also, you haven't specified who exactly you're talking about.

no you've changed the goal posts and not factored in the long term effects of chemicals and preservatives

i'm not talking about farm to table type shit i was referring to processed meat from a factory

and dumbasses like you go to some restaurant and they feed you this shit from the local costco equivalent and say we source it directly from an unspecified farm

enjoy salmonella and e.coli

also those farms probably have less food safety risk mitigation than some big corpo food manufacturer

I tried it all and I NEVER once enjoyed a dish consisting of raw protein. Fish, meat, doesn't matter. It's just unpleasant.

I've had sashimi and enjoyed it but you gotta understand cubing up beef then mixing it together with other bits of raw beef and cracking a raw egg on top of it you are just by science and laws of probability asking for trouble.

Also when I was eating the sashimi I knew I was taking a risk and increasing my chances of getting sick.

Stop being a sperg. smarter people than you came along and did a thing so good it caught on. Repeat that over the eons and we get civilization.

Now you get retards circle jerking about how it's difficult to make fire and sharp sticks.

And to address nonsense about chemicals in farming, thousands of years of rearing livestock is much safer than wild deer full of worms and other nasties waiting to cross the species barrier. (And I mean actual nasties like ebola not china-virus)
