What's the food culture like in this part of the country?
>>21466413 (OP)Wisconsin has some of the best cheese in the world. Really extremely high quality. And lots of farms.
>>21466422Get some fresh fried cheese curds on the side of the road somewhere in Wisconsin and then tell me it's grim, you son of a bitch
it's bland watered down white people food
it makes me sad when people cope post and pretend it's good. it will never improve with that attitude
>>21466424I've heard Wisconsin also has some of the best Italian restaurants in the world. Is this true?
chicago has amazing restaurants, michigan has pasties and hot dogs with warm-spices chili
iowa has corn
indiana has those massive meme fried pork sandos
ohio actually doesn't have that bad food - the bigger cities have interesting options
NW PA is kinda a food ghost town
I had good pasta in Rochester, NY which is kinda in your circled area
>>21466429That would track but I can't say it's something I'd heard of
>>21466431The guy who said it was morbidly obese, so I don't know if that makes him more or less of an authority on the matter.
>>21466413 (OP)Wisconsin has great cheese, Chicago has lots of options, and South Dakota only has meth and rape.
>>21466433Sounds trustworthy to me, I have gone to italian restaurants in Wisconsin that were good for sure. They also have some decent 'sea'food from the great lakes.

>>21466447The last Thai restaurant in Peoria closed like 8 years ago, and the only good one closed over 15 years ago. You have to drive to BloNo for Thai food now.
>>21466413 (OP)Sausage, cheese, and most of the incredibly bland meme foods that you hear about overseas like tater tot casserole/"hot dish," mostly due to the historically high amount of scandinavian and german immigration to the region and their injection of boring and bland culinary culture into it
>>21466441This, even Tillamook absolutely bodies anything from Wisconsin and Tillamook is mid tier Oregon cheese
>>21466450Well sure, Peoria is a little town but I'm in metro Detroit and we've got every kinda restaurant you could want.
>>21466413 (OP)As varying as the many counties within the loop. You're a fucking retard to assume it's one culture. Fuck you.
>>21466447>shitcoastsWhat? What could you have against areas near oceans? Strange thing to be bitter about. Enjoy your trapped heat climate and shipped seafood and harsh winters.
>>21466461Peoria's a city. It's bigger than some state capitals.
Tenderloins
Cheese on everything
Red cream soda
>>21466547Tenderloins are hyperbased and need to be a common staple
>>21466413 (OP)SW PA has Pepperoni Rolls and other shit like Ohio Valley styled pizza in the form of Di Carlos/Beto's and Primanti Bros sandwiches
Also can't forget the Gobs and Smiley Cookies from Eat N Park
>t: local that moved away years ago
>>21466413 (OP)im in PA

>>21466708You have scrapple and think Wawa sandwiches are good
>>21466441>>21466459Enjoy your black people cheese. Wisconsin cheese will always be better than your hipster dogshit cheese.
