We have plenty of good pork recipes: sztuka mięsa, kotlety schabowe i mielone, zrazy. Horseradish sauces are very good. Proper pierogi are being made with long-cooked beef with vegetables and are fantastic too. Our pierogi dough is plain better than the Italian versions imo.
Soups come in quite unique versions, they taste delicious too me: pea soup, barley soup, beetroot soup.
I had a period of trying meals from all over the world but if I had to choose only one country's cuisine now I would have stayed with the Polish one. Possibly because I got used to the taste since being a kid, but still.

Poles don't even eat Polish food in Poland anymore, most popular daily menu for a modern Pole is a pizza, kebab and pad thai in this very order, occasionally enriched with khachapuri or biryani or whatever is fashionable and from which country we get most immigrants in the [current_year]. In my Warsaw neighborhood there is not a single restaurant with Polish food anymore, it all got replaced with kebabs and Asian places once the last Polish restaurant owner retired and his children would rather work in some call center than keep their family business running. If I want to eat something Polish outside I need to literally go to the tourist-oriented restaurants in the old town where you pay hefty prices for something named like a traditional Polish dish but barely resembling it as it is prepared to cater to foreign tourists who couldn't stand ACTUAL Polish food.

It's soviet time street food that tastes used to taste like shit because products available during that time were subpar. Still, people developed nostalgic craving for it.
Nowadays you can get much better zapiekanka done with proper produce and respect to the craft, but some places purposefully cater to old farts who prefer it shitty old timey style.
You never know which one you're gonna get.
