This. One time my sister/wife bought the ones that look identical but are made of minced fish like a fish stick, and it was night and day. The beer battered whole filets are worth the extra price.

The sauce you make yourself. It's easy and I always have the makings. Mayonnaise, lemon juice, dill relish, capers, the spice rack. Hot sauce or horseradish if it's just for me.
The tartar sauce I whip up is better than any brand I've ever had. I always have fresh lemons or limes too.

I've only ever had >>21469748 and some ghetto one from Sav•A•Lot. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between the two but I've not been to SaL since 2019 or thereabouts so I just buy >>21469748 when it goes on deep discount at the start of lent.
