Why did you eat your goulash with rice? Usually it's served with potatoes.

Yeah, bit less carrots, add some potato.
Other than that, what's the consistency of the curry? It looks a bit thin, like it needs to have been reduced or thickened more.
Looks good, though. Would devour happily.

Sometimes you have to use up a big carrot, curry is great for getting rid of left over stuff in the fridge.

This is the correct amount of carrots, especially if the meat is rabbit.

yes, if you add some more heat to it.
honestly though it's not worth the cost. buy a S&B curry tin and use that.
I don't even make a proper roux, I mix in the flour with the veggies and meat and let it cook on low heat for at least half an hour before adding water and letting it cook until the potatoes are done. not much more effort than using a block.

I agree with some other anons, too many carrots, maybe add a little potato and a few peas.

Apart from that. it looks OK, hope you enjoyed it anon?

Golden Curry is the most common but also the most bland. I'd only buy GC if it was the only option avaliable.
Java , Vermont, Kokomaru and Torokeru are all good curry blocks. Some people like to blend 2 or more brands when making curry.

looks more like a soup with rice rather than a curry
I'd say below average like 4/10
curry is my favorite food . I recommend long grain rice like basmati
simmer sauce long enough to coat everything and thicken it
meat and vegetable chunks should be much smaller and consistent sizes
I recommend cooking vegetables first in pan until soft , take out then brown meat and then combine and add sauce then simmer

>>21471632
Yeah, but they lack stock in them, so you need to add stock when doing the cooking. Adding some wine also helps. The blocks definitely eat up space though, the tin takes less room.

Hah, OP you make curry like I make it - with too much shit. But I do it because only I'm eating it and I don't make stock anymore (no freezer space/don't wanna waste fiber) so I fill the bottom with veggies. My veggies are also much smaller so they break down more.

Nonetheless, you got too much shit in your stew. Reduce the amount of veggies and meat (meat good tho), and replace them with stock. From that pic, you could probably remove ~1/2 the solids in your stew. I'd also recommend smaller veggies too - not all of them, but you can do a mix of smaller veggies that you saute first, then a couple of larger ones you put after as the curry is stewing. Those meat sizes are fine though.
