Check this out. I smeared some liverwurst in a mushroom cap and sprinkled some stuff on it. You can hardly see the meat. A vegan might even fall for it. But that is the price of carelessness. Not muchroom for error in life, one wrong bite and bam, your malnutrition is at an end. OK BYE

Mushroom should get heated until it changes colors and gets softer

You don't cook it. The mushroom needs to be sparkling fresh of course, with a nice snap when bitten into.

Yeah. So. It's freeze dried, btw.

You shouldnt eat raw Agaricus bisporus (common button/portobello mushroom). Agaritine, a phenylhydrazine derivative, is highly carcinogenic and causes liver inflammation, blood disease, and age-related nervous disorders including dementia.
Paul Stamets, pic related, a reknowned mycologist, famously alluded to this fact on his JRE podcast episode, where he refused to further answer questions about common mushroom toxicity claiming that his life may be in danger. There may be powerful agricultural interests that desparately want to keep this information from being widely known.

Mushroom tastes much better cooked though. Especially if you stuffed it.
