Why are they so terrible now? I barely ever go to McDicks anymore, but the few times I've been in the last year the fries have always been half-filled, soggy, flavorless, saltless, and cold. Are they just not trying anymore or is there some profit motive to serving shitty french fries?

Going to McDonald's and expecting good food is absurd. You're better off pulling potatoes out of the ground and frying it on your engine block. How thick are you to think there's some sort of reputation they're expected to uphold? I mean it literally, because fast food makes you fat.

The ones I get sometimes taste the same as always. I live in a smaller town, though, so usually they aren't cold and soggy. There was also the coof that could alter your sense of taste, thankfully I never got it but maybe you did. Sucks if so, sorry.

They only got as huge as they are because they had the undisputable best fries in all of fast food up until ~5 years ago. They absolutely have a reputation to uphold

Because the “Natural Beef Flavor” is now hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk (which is normally used for baby food powder)
