Tried 2 years ago and it was mostly futile because apparently supermarkets here coordinate pretty well with when the garbage trucks pass by the area so there is barely a 10 minute margin also doesn't help that most is the vegan section products.

They should be allowed to give the food away at the person taking the food's own risk.

Do convenience stores near you really sell homemade food? I dumpster the one near me for white bread and eggs, but I try not to eat too much of the "food", I don't think hashbrowns, burgers and doughnuts from a factory is a great diet.

"Wet" food is kinda iffy to dumpster dive for, both because it spoils fast and it might absorb dirty dumpster juices around it. If you have to do it go for dry wrapped up stuff like >>21473216
