Honestly man I just followed this video. I also bought the best steak I could online from porter road. They sent me a bunch of stuff for like $135 shipped.

I actually got some pork chops in that butcher box I got, planning on cooking them with some grits next week. >>21474521
Yeah honestly press that steak into the pan like it owes you money. I ended up searing another one yesterday and I ended up slightly over salting it. Also if you have an electric stove, you don’t need to turn it to high heat, unless you’re using algae oil or something with a super high smoke point, you’re just gonna burn a ton of oil and make a bunch of smoke. I got a rosemary and a thyme plant yesterday, I basted the steak with that and some roasted garlic

honestly butter and herbs, even pepper, triggers me the fuck up with steaks, it becomes even sillier when I don't think I've even tried it, it just triggers my mind instincts against it, I should try it some day

Honestly I was the same way (probably partially because ‘tism) most likely because dry, old herbs pretty much universally suck ass unless they’re minor ingredients in cooking. But then I got these fresh plants that you can eat by themselves since they’re so tasty.

>fresh herbs
good point, what convinces me the most in favor of that procedure is that french cuisine does this with butter and herbs, frenchies are top notch

The best #1 cannot be topped steak enhancer is deglazing the pan by searing onions and mushrooms in the leftover juices and oil while the steak rests and topping with them after. A little bit goes a long way because the flavors get really intense and can overpower the steak if you're not careful, but just the right amount is fucking perfect.

>>21474715
I’ve heard making steak in the air fryer is OK. Just like homemade chicken nuggets. Ok at best.
>>21474642
I made a nice white sauce with the fond left in the pan and served it over some pasta. Yum.

Best I could find off-hand on google, main issue is with the angle and focus of the camera not the food. Fuckers try to make shots look dynamic and dramatic like their food is about to rescue someone from a burning building instead of letting me see actual details about most of the plate, shit is obnoxious.
