KFC is dry asscheeks so you probably got equal quality. If you really want good restaurant quality fried chicken youโ€™re gonna have to fry it yourself. As much as I love the air fryer itโ€™s gonna be 6/10 at best.

An air frier is just an oven.
Would you bake your breaded chicken in an oven? Certainly edible but no coparison to the pan. The breading needs the hot oil to really get brown crispy and delicious. In the oven it just gets hard, in the pan you get delicious maillard reaction products.

Fuxking Tyson. All their breaded chicken products tastes just like op described regardless of how you cook it. Mushy and borderline inedible inside.

Or make your own if they are all shit.

Retard alert. An air fryer is a broiler element with a FAN cranked to high. Your shit ass oven doesn't have a fan running nonstop in it.

>>21474815
It does substitute, but it's not 100%. You do lose a bit, but also don't need to fuck about with oil, so it's a good tradeoff. Especially for stuff already fried from the store.

>>21476120
>made from scratch
Oh boy, get a load of this guy - he thinks goyslop sellers do shit from scratch and not reheat frozen premade pre-approved bags from the brand.

Air fryer really is one of the biggest meme appliances of the this century so far. Like, the only thing it's even moderately good for is for dieters to make counterfeit healthy "bad foods" like chicken wings (alongside that horrible greek yoghurt ranch). Most people buy it for their ready to bake frozen snacks, but it's not really any better than a regular oven.

they're mostly for frozen/ready to bake shit, but a good air fryer is a pretty notable difference between it being less effort to load up, and the food usually tasting better
the only real utility an air fryer provides that you wouldn't get from something else is reheating pizza
blasting pizza for like 5 minutes is at least three letter grades above reheated microwave/oven pizza

I got the fancy Ninja air fryer and the frozen chicken tendies are actually comparable to KFC.
I mainly use it for cooking chicken thighs and they come out great.
Chicken breasts (non-frozen) come out quite rubbery, though.

The cheap $30-50 made in china ones wonโ€™t cut it. You need to buy the extra fancy ones to get the results you want. Might as well get your moneys worth and find one with a 10 year warranty included.

It fries with AIR, not OIL, dumbo. How the fuck can people be so retarded??

It's not the same at all. It doesn't "fry" anything. It's a tiny desktop convection oven. It's not a new concept, it's just having its moment. It's like the George Foreman grill phenomenon. It's like a white trashy sous vide hobby or something, lol. Except it's completely misunderstood because it's total moron incels like you who eat "nuggies" and "tendies" and are fat, lazy fucks who don't know thing one about cookery.
Absolute RETARD.
