If I have raw hamburger that expires today and I cook it, will the cooked hamburger last the same amount of time in my refrigerator as hamburger that was cooked when it was fresher?

Your question is nonsensical because all cooked hamburger should be consumed immediately.
>b-but i cooked an entire package of ground beef, 2lb...
Immediately. With cheese.

food does not expire based on a date. the date on hamburger is a sell by date. it only goes bad when it smells bad.

If it’s not slimy and doesn’t smell you’ll be fine. Cook it well done if you’re really concerned.

Yes. If you fully cooked it then the bacterial count is set back to zero in both samples. Cooking is well known as a means of making meat lastlonger, particularly the more ephemeral sorts like mince or chicken.

i tried doing this perpetual taco thing where i'd braise the beef and the leftover braising liquid i'd reuse for the next batch a week later. it was really delicious but after about week 4 it gave me stomach pains so bad i stopped doing it

Depends on how thoroughly you cook it
