When a company adopts a new recipe, it's always to increase profit margins at the expense of quality. The lab found they could cut costs and produce something "close enough".
Looking into this specifically, it seems people were complaining enough that they disabled comments on most of their social media posts. If normies can taste the difference, it's gotta be bad.

Greed. It's an industry in itself nowadays. Look at online "influencers".

The idea is to make the recipe cheaper, with the end product being close enough that people either don't notice or don't care.
It'd be one thing if their goal was to keep sales prices low, but these things are like $10 a box for some low-grade frozen "bread product". It's pretty transparently greed.

Because it doesn't matter. Short term gain and short term stock increases are the only thing that matter.

Ceos are trained to either make a company and sell it to a larger company or vulture another companies profits until it collapses. That is literally what venture capitlism is.

Wait till you learn about immigration laws and why everything you eat or touch is usually produced by illegals for profit seeking. Wait till you learn those illegals are often not paid, abused, and then sent home at your expense.
They are currently switching south American labor with Indian., again for profit.
The best system in the world.

Prezels should be crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
