I stopped drinking sodas, stopped eating fast food, yet I keep falling back into my sugar addiction when it comes to bakery goods and ice cream sandwiches.

I tried buying raisin bran cereal and eating that with zero cal sweetener whenever I get the craving, but I just ended up going crazy and buying sweets again. I don't eat it all in one day, it's not me binging. I will eat it slowly throughout the days snacking until it eventually runs out, the calories add up though. So does the cost.

Do I replace it with zero cal soda and fruit like grapes/bananas? I dont like soda much but anything cherry cola related isnt too bad. Idk else what to do.

that zero calorie stuff will make you crave it harder
my approach would be to find an amazing bakery and enjoy their fare occasionally as a reward. make it so that when you do enjoy it it's worthwhile, instead of the trash they sell at convenience stores. or if you even want to do it as a daily thing, form a routine around it, like if you drink coffee, have a good cup of pourover coffee and your baked good for the day and don't have anymore until tomorrow. i think if you're going to enjoy something high in sugar it's best to do it early in the day

I quit caffeine, ie black coffee and energy drinks.
Would green tea be okay?

Sugar addiction isn’t real, you’re just incredibly week willed.

Eat dried fruits. Dates, figs, raisins to get your sugar fix

I'm in a similar situation, go a month or two where you only let yourself eat sugar that you baked you baked yourself. It'll improve your /ck/ skills and give you a new appreciation for high-quality baked goods. I admit that I have relapsed since then but I'm not too worried since I'm not fat, bonus points if you have someone else to feed with your cakes and biscuits.

This.

Just get your sugars from natural sources. Want something sweet? Drink a little OJ. Eat some fruit.

Milk/yogurt with honey, lemonade. Those are typically what I go for if I want sugar. I like fruit too but it just doesn't seem to be what I want if I'm craving sugar.

I don't think sugar is inherently bad for you and that craving it should be seen as an addiction or something wrong. Zero calorie sodas always make me feel like shit. If you're having more sugar then maybe have less starch to balance out your carb intake if you need to but otherwise I wouldn't feel bad about it.
