There are degrees. I'm not from the US but have eaten it in the US. It's much of a muchness, given that it's McDonald's. It's just convenient. Nothing to take note of. Here's an anecdote, a boring one: one time I was staying around Lisbon. I'd got shitfaced in the bario alto region. Got back to the house I was staying at, late / early depending how you look at it. Found a McDonald's, about 30 minutes walk along the coast. So I went. Absolutely underwhelming. Moral of the story is that McDonald's is just dogshit wherever.

It's food for poor people, tourists and immigrants where I live (Belgium). Never been to the US, certainly wouldn't visit the big cities or eat at fast food places if I did.

I've eaten in Mexico and every burger is spicy, even those that weren't supposed to, so it wasn't an enjoyable experience. And in France the quality is very good but the burgers are smaller.
