I've never had Baiju, but I worked at a boutique liquor store while in college. We had a bottle of pic related break one time, and it was one of the most foul boozes I'd ever smelled, and I've had zero interest in every trying one since.

I drank a 53% baiju once. Nothing special honestly, tastes mostly like vodka with a hint of anise.
