I'm not sure if it inherently aids weight loss, all I know is in my /fit/ days I never ate it because it made me feel full and I was a lanklet that wanted to gain weight.

It might. If you're replacing highly processed junk food with cottage cheese it'll be more satiating for an equal amount of calories.

Some people have an easier time losing weight if they eat less starch so replacing some starch with cottage cheese could also help. For some people sugar is actually okay but starch causes them to overeat.

In short, no it won't help.

because you were, it's full of casein protein, a slower digesting protein
that's why it's recommended to fatties, they're supposed to eat it and feel full, but fatties are fat because they know no limits, so they load up on it and then literally become full of slow digesting shit(which they were anyways with their processed diets)

There's no magic food that will slim you down. There is very unmagical food that is, now and always, making you fat

I have never known a fat person who didn't have an absurdly excess supply of shit in cardboard boxes and plastic bags around at all times. Doritos, boxed cereal, pop tarts, pre-sliced bread, whatever

Just buy actual food from the produce section, the meat counter, and the fish counter, always, no exceptions, and get back to me in a year, I guarantee you'll be a normal weight

If you NEED side carbs (because you're exercising), then get rice, plain fucking rice, so that you need to put it in the rice cooker in advance and you're not just using it as a drug to fry your brain in moments of boredom/ADHD, otherwise you'll get plenty of carbs from the vegetables you need to be eating which I know you aren't right now

Any kind of physical body recomposition, really any kind of self improvement at all (like learning a language) requires understanding the preconscious factors that influence your own behavior.

Strength training, bodybuilding, running/cycling, whatever, it all requires "gimmicks" whether it's about sleep cycles or nutrition or calorie counting, doesn't matter, gimmicks are how it's done, patting yourself on the head for having "self control" will get you nowhere.

I can but won't unless you actually sit down and do the math. Cottage cheese typically is a good choice as a low calorie food since it hits near that magic 1kcal/1gram of food number. Which basically means it is very efficent in filling you up while keeping the calories low.

If you truly honestly actually want to loss weight you need to understand the basics of calories in calories out. It really is that simple. Find your total daily energy expenditure or TDEE using goole and finding a calculator. You plug in age/weight/height/sex/activity and it will shoot out a rough approximation of what your body requires each day to literally just keep you alive. Doing absolutely nothing but laying perfectly still for 24 hours this is what your body will burn.

Come in below this number. That is it. If you ingest less calories then your burn you loss weight. As the body will use your fat reserves to make up the difference. Each 1lb of fat is roughly 3,500 kcals so just quick and dirty math. Say your TDEE was 2,000 and you eat 1,000. You just forced your body to burn 1,000 kcal of fat to keep going. So in 3.5 days you have lost 1lb of fat. Savvy?

There is a bunch of bro science and bullshit about how your body will go into starvation mode or eat your muscle instead. Ignore this bullshit it is mostly false or wildly over exaggerated. Believe me I've done it. Used tobe 330lbs now I'm 155lb and I did it doing nothing but counting calories and fasting. Which is just a rapid means of cutting calories but that is a whole other thing.

Just find TDEE, come in below, enjoy more comfortable fitting pants.
