Yes anon, hamburgers with vegetables aren't that bad for you. The sugary soda and french fries that go with them are bad for you, though.

this. and when most people talk about burgers being junk food, it's referring to fast food burgers, which are fried in grease and the buns are full of sugar, and there's tons of salt and other shit in it all. and even then, it's still mostly the fries and sugar that make it really bad. but like, I don't think anyone is calling your homemade burgers junk food.

the problem is everything got substituted for something that could keep longer, was cheaper, and easier to store
the result is a processed burger and chemical water
otherwise, that's just fried ground beef, some veg and fruit, with some dairy and bread; protein, fats, carbs, minerals and vitamins

I see the issue as more that a typical hamburger has maybe a tiny slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and maybe a pickle. If you load up a burger and have some good greens on the side, maybe some homemade sauerkraut then you're doing alright.

yes that's a good point too, the typical burger doesn't have a lot of vegetaes compared to meat and bun. serve your burger with a salad instead of fries and it's not bad.

Fasfood burgers usually contain copious amounts of high fat sauces and melted cheese (which can add up to 400+ kcal on their own), and are paired with full-sugar soda (if you know what the Randle cycle is, you know that mixing high amounts of fat with high amounts of sugar is a diabetes-inducing metabolic disaster). So your "balanced meal" plate is lacking a heap of cheese and sauce, and a coke.

junk food is stuff that comes in bags like doritos

but the amount of vegetables in a burger is pretty pathetic compared to a kebab or gyro which mogs it btw

easy
the trick is that the right image *looks* like it's a disassembled hamburger, but actually in order to get a "balanced meal" you need
- a non-retarded bread
- unmolested beef, ideally not in ground form
- non-"american" cheese
in fact, in yurp fast food can actually qualify as a "balanced meal" due to both food regulations and fast food places trying to appeal to better class of people than low income low iq american peasants

no
the issues are sauces and additives.
soy and other non-meat additives are fine, processed cheese is also still fine
sauces have a lot of added sugar, salt, fat and other unhealthy things in general.
and corn syrup.

yes, just because it's packaged as a burger doesn't make it unhealthy.

but europe's burgers are still bad, especially from non-chain vendors, and sometimes worse than european kebabs health-wise as well.

you need like 500mg of salt a day. you can get all of the salt you need by eating a couple servings of unsalted animal products. any hyponatremia is caused by excessive fluid intake and not insufficient sodium intake.

Autists are some of the dumbest retards in the universe. They hyperfixate on a tiny little thing and have no ability to see the forest through the trees.
I'll break it down for your tiny mind: both donuts and orange juice have similar issues and it's not related to macro or micro nutrient balance. It's simply calorie density and ease of eating. Yes, adding a multivitamin can be beneficial, but you'd still be eating a shit ton of calories. Oranges are good, but you wouldn't eat eight of them in a few seconds, conversely you could easily chug the juice of eight oranges in a few seconds.

Love the irony. An autistic freak so obsessed with calorie density they/them can't understand that this isn't an issue at all if you don't overeat and you are physically active.
The only way you can claim that a food is unhealthy by assuming everyone who eats it will overeat and never exercise. Nothing you've said applies to the food itself. It's just ''fat people eat donuts, therefore donuts make you fat and if you eat donuts you will be unhealthy.''
Pure autist faggotry

Burgers had been fine when people were moving and burning their calories - like manual laborers. They are murder for office workers or coach potatoes.
If you regularly exercise then you can eat fast food still - in the middle of a 80 km bike ride even copious amounts of sodium will only do you good. And sugar coke is an ultimate energy drink.
