I miss the old unpolished food shows. Food Network is now 90% competitions. There are still a few good ones on PBS etc. like Lidia Bastianich.

love two fat ladies, them and julia child’s the french chef are very comfy and they make very different food compared to modern american shows. But the best cooking show ever is original iron chef, which I could find a better rip of the english dub (or sub really).

This was the era. Taste with David Rosengarten, Charlie Trotter on PBS. Real cooking. Even that fucking Barefoot bitch looks good compared to the "reality show" garbage and bleeped out cursing and yelling we get now.

Not candy promotions with Mark Summers. I've seen it on TV a couple times over the years but I didn't know people bought DVDs and went through it like it's an actual series. And then after completion decided "it's that time again" and went through the catalogue for another go.
That seems very odd. Like with all the actual television out there beyond non-fiction consumer product promotional fare, to have run out of other new things to watch and REwatch that??
I just can't imagine your world and how you came to be. That's like a new kind of fandom I didn't even know existed.
Different strokes, as they say...

I haven't watched it since it was on. Just a comfy show to watch while falling asleep. What food show do you watch since you're a judgmental faggot and just decided to criticize?

I think the tide has turned against this style of show (I blame Kenji) but Good Eats back in the day was also very comfy

Used to love watching this and Alton Brown's show back in the day. I like Bourdain's many shows and Fuck That's Delicious.

I also enjoy the How It's Made show or whatever, don't actively watch them but it's is interesting.
