I keep hearing that Chili's has had a revival and is actually good again. Is this true, or is it just propaganda?

I used to love Chili's back in the day. Southwestern Eggrolls were the shit.

we used to go one for happy hours and it was amazing that they'd never cut anyone off. you have two beers at applebees and you're finished, but chilis would serve you until comatose and we always had respect for that. decent burgers too if you liked really greasy burgers

The food hasn't changed, it's just that fast food has gotten so expensive that Chili's is now a better option for the same price. I'm not going to say their burgers are amazing, but they beat the shit out of McDonalds/BK/Wendys

balanced take: now that McDs is a $12 lunch, Chilis with guac and bacon on a burger for $15 is a much better value proposition.

when i was a kid i would always want stuff to be plain: meat and cheese, no veggies except fake ones like grilled onions or whatever. autistic style food. and to this day, thats still how i like it.

at a certain point, restaurants like chili's started catering to my taste. instead of seeing real adult meals with veggies included, the whole menu was basically a picky autists dream. it disgusted me.

until they bring back a real adult menu, one that does not cater to my tastes, i will never consider going there.

Not my chilis unfortunately. Went there 2 weeks ago and it was just pathetic. My wife asked the waitress if they could do grilled onions on the burger and the poor methhead girl was just quivering away like we told her to choose which of her kids got to live. Then the food was pretty sub average. A couple dozen 80 year olds were in there happy enough though

Their santa fe chicken salad is one of the best salads I can find that is less than 1000 calories, is super spicy, and filling. most places sell dinner salads that are the same calories as a prime rib steak. the one closest to me has a good greasy hamburger.

they are actually doing very well. A combination of good service, reasonable prices, and marketing really went a long way.

I haven't had chilis in a very long time but I don't remember disliking it. I'll probably try it again within a month.

Some of the food is good. I liked the southwestern egg rolls and the fajitas are nice. I can recommend the cajun pasta too. But they've had some real misses experimenting with new menu options, the last time I went there I had some nasty hot wings and well, seems like it's been removed from the menu since at least in that flavor.

Halo 2 came out 21 years ago. It's old enough to be able to drink.
>>21483721
100% correct and without the crispers you can't get the right triple dipper. (boneless instead of bone-in, but I couldn't find a pic of the exact combo)
>>21483778
The combo prices used to be better and the fajita prices are slightly too high for what you get now.
It's swinging out of balance again for their main food.

Burgers are a good deal still.
