Whats the most expensive meal you have ever eaten /ck/?

For me it was at a now defunct French restaurant in St Louis MO in the 90's. Took my high school girlfriend there, and it was around $150 for both of us. $12 just for my coke.

I went to Edifício Itália for my marriage dinner and spent about 800 brazilian reais. They also brought my wife's ring, a 300 reais vivara thin yellow gold ring to our table. It was fun.
I had a filé mignon with dark sauce and rice, she had some pasta and we had cakes for dessert.

It's you'd better (you had). You have the intellect of a plankton. Yet you have the gall to tell me to stop using YOUR language. I have no inclination to be mixing with scum like you. Fucking hell, imagine.

I believe the point he was making is that in no way does that look like $1700 worth of food. If it said that tray of chicken fingers and jalapeno poppers cost $500 I would think it's too much. $1700 is pure comedy

Alaska is over 600,000 square miles and we have an area of the USA almost that size just for corn. 1.5 million square kilometers or 579,000 square miles.

Same, took my gf out to a local steak place thats pretty nice. Had steaks and wine. Cost a little less than $200 after tip.
I cant justify spending more than that on a special dinner that I may only do once a year. Prolly not even if I was a millionaire.

1K pp at the world's best. We (9 people) went home and cooked better. Served far better wines too.
750K pp in a top 50 of the world's 50 best. Food was perfect start to finish. Wines were clever choices but budget (nobody's looking for US wines below the 1K mark at this level, certainly not in Europe).

I don't get this. This is obviously an American posting this. They're less than 60% white, Europe is at least 85%, even more depending on how you classify it. Yet these jibes come, like there's a complete lack of self awareness.
