Authenticityfags really thought everyone was on their side and then it turned out everyone really loathed their holier-than-thou gatekeeping asses.
But generally that seems to be what's happening all over culture in 2025. In 2024 "Authenticity" was the word of the year for the media, talking about what is real, what makes a person real and so on. Townies and Nationalists took this to mean they were winning that people really did care about an authentic experience.
2025 meanwhile has shown these people to be insufferable cunts. All the real New Yorkers got their ass kicked by an Indian from Uganda in the Mayoral primary and he was a Palestine Supporting Muslim who carried the Jewish vote.
It's a real cultural split between the authentic and the pragmatic and for the first time in a while Authentic people feel comfortable enough to be assholes online, and they subsequently are getting mogged everywhere.
