this is some advice just fyi frozen food does not go bad. you can literally freeze andy food you want and it will never go bad as long as it long as it stays frozen. will it taste the exact same no and it may lose a few nutrients but if something expired 20 yearsa ago and its been frozen for 20 years in your normal ass freezer its perfectly fine to eat. yo can freeze chips and bread and meat and vegetable and fruits and soups and literally any food you can think of and later it will be just fine to eat. you are limited by your imgaination and freezer space

frozen food still goes bad, just slower.
not to mention freezer burn.

foods like bread will grow ice crystals inside and the taste and texture will be worse for it.

>frozen food still goes bad
correct, I had a pork roast in a vacuum sealed bag that I forgot about for 2 years, when I opened it, it was rancid. I threw it away.

same thing with a whole duck, forgot about it for 4 years. also very rancid. tossed it. now I rotate out my frozen foods not letting anything stay frozen for more than a year (vacuum sealed) and 6 months if not vacuum sealed.

correct

organisms need flowing water for life processes, and water in crystalline form stops all growth

as far as i know, rancid/oxidation also does not happen, though I'll do more research on it. Only freezer burn will degrade food in the freezer. Worst with ground meats. I'm leaning towards >>21485991 and your freezer was turned off or keeps getting to high in its temp cycling.

I had a ham frozen that expired in 2014 and I ate it in 2022 and it was fine, Original store packaging not a blemish on it.
