Nips are always cooking fish like this in anime but does it actually taste good? I don't think they use any salt or even descale and gut the fish, just stick a twig through it and put it in fire.
rotisserie chicken but fish
yeah it's pretty good, not amazing though
>>21488006 (OP)Those white lumps are salt. Any Adventurer worth their salt brings salt with them.
Considering how much people on /ck/ talk about sushi and sashimi, you would think the Nipponese had never invented fire.
>>21488082how do you get those lumps of salt to stay on? asking for a friend
depends on the fish, but honestly fresh fish out in the wild on a stick by the fire is peak civilization.
>>21488094amazing, thanks anon. my friend would sure appreciate this knowledge
>>21488082why would you dump an assload of salt on the outside of the fish like that
>>21488006 (OP)the smoke of the fire flavours the fish
>>21488006 (OP)It's great, i do it often when i go fishing and i'm settling in a place for a while.
>>21488166you remove the skin once the fish is done and the juice mixed with salt adds flavor to the flesh
