It's hit or miss with the granulated anon. I've moved around a lot, 7 cities in the last few years, and have thus frequented different Coleses and Woolsworth in different places, and sometimes you find one that sells the jam berliners with powdered and some use granulated. My current local Coles is granulated almost all the time, but once a year or so I'll notice they're powdered, probably because some new guy or visiting manager was calling the shots in the bakery. But then it goes back to normal

Nothing beats a fresh hot glazed krispy kreme right off the conveyor belt.
Its godlike and I can eat a dozen of them. Cold or day olds lose the magic.

Fresh old fashioned sour cream donuts from a competent local donut shop would be my second favorite.

Also I grew up near an apple orchard that made fresh apple cider cake donuts which were unbelievably good.
Every time ive bought them premade ones ive seen at the store they were shit. I tried some costco ones and I threw them away.

A month ago, I binged on 10 of them before a hike. It was 30 minutes after it opened so my doughnuts were fresh as fresh can be. They were god tier and I worked off the calories easily, but that many krispy kreme doughnuts fucked my gut biome until recently. I haven't looked at doughnuts the same way since then, man.
