I'm trying to make the perfect sandwich. I want to take one bite and be absolutely blown away by how good it is. Nothing is off the table (sous vide, smoking, pickling, whatever) How do I best achieve this?
Some of my incomplete working ideas are:
>Lechon, crispy pork skin, fig jam, tomatoes + arugula, provolone
>Jamon iberico, roasted green peppers, sweet cherry pepper relish, garlic aioli, fresh mozzarella
>Ribeye (cooked bone-in sous vide), mushrooms, red peppers, provolone
I humble myself before you fags, please help me discern the best one and perfect it. Even if I have to plan the execution a week in advance. I want to be thinking about this sandwich long after it's gone.
>>21518327 (OP)You've given me the idea of selling 'best sandwich you have ever tasted' to rich idiots.
It involves holding them captive for several days without food.
Probably has a few kinks to work out in the details, non-disclosure agreements and liability waivers and whatnot. Maybe do it out on a cruise ship.
before you kids were born there was a reddit meme "shooter sandwich" that was spammed constantly, like the way dubai chocolate threads are spammed now
all I remember is it was dumb and straight
>>21518327 (OP)just go the gordon ramsay hack route to make anything tasty
>season everything with loads of salt and pepper>olive oil>butterVoila
>>21518338>cooked steak and mushrooms placed inside a hollowed-out loaf of bread and then weighted down.>Dijon mustard and horseradish are sometimes used as accompanying condimentInterest is piqued. This seems a strong contender. I'd add a Beef Wellington style filling and provolone and nothing else.
start with the basics there is no good sandwich without
>mayo
>letuce iceberg whatever
>tomato
>roasted or sauteed peppers
I'm always disappointed with any sandwich I make at home. These days it's just turkey cheese some grape jam and raw onion slices.
>>21518473same here especially club sandwich always comes out bland and stuffy/stodgy
>>21518473I would also be disappointed in that sandwich
>>21518327 (OP)Start with the Kali Mist from Cheba Hut as a baseline.
>Roasted turkey breast, bacon, chipotle mayo, jalapeรฑo, avocado, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Shake & House dressingSwap the turkey breast with sliced, very spicy Nashville hot chicken. Fry the jalapenos and add fried okra. I'd subtract the tomatoes but that's just a personal preference. Avocado isn't critical, but I'd leave it on because why not.
Serve with a pitcher of ice cold beer to counter the burn.
>>21518327 (OP)The perfect sandwich already exists though.
>>21518354These things are retarded just make a fuckin french dip
>>21518649BLT is such a simple sandwich that any one ingredient being off makes it ass. That's why I don't make them too often, most of the tomatoes available to me are dogshit.
In any case, it becomes less about what ingredients to add and more about where you source them. What kind of bacon, lettuce, tomato, and bread do you use? What sort of mayonnaise?
BLTs are also an S-Tier sandwich
>>21518671Rye is the only bread I'd use for a BLT
>>21518327 (OP)>I want to take one bite and be absolutely blown away by how good it is.Roast Beef & Mozz w/ gravy. Fiore's does it right. Best sandwich I've ever had.
It's reputed enough that you might think it's a meme, but it isn't. Worth the trip.

>>21519547& i forgot the picture like a fucking retard. time for bed.
>>21518654This is clearly a club sandwich.
>>21518649done incorrectly baka
A club should be one layer a blt and the other layer a turkey sandwich
>>21518327 (OP)Fig Jam will need to be a part of it.
>>21519793place 5 minutes from me makes a great one for $8. I want to learn to make my own but they're never as good and $8 isn't terrible.
>>21520478>>21519793i made one last week after i bought a toaster grill from lidl especially the cucumber heating was awful and generally bland, its gotta be the bread
Shoot for a delicious collection of things rather than a collection of delicious things
we're how many comments into this thread and nobody has brought up peanut butter and jelly like hello ?? the classics are classic for a reason
>>21518327 (OP)have you considered a submersible sandwich?
>>21518327 (OP)You don't need cheese in any of these sandwiches and cheese would only ruin the rest of the flavors.
I don't understand America's obsession with putting cheap as cheese on everything.
And if you want to put a cheese a mild blue cheese would fit best.
>>21518473Because you very rarely have the right combination of bread and ingredients just sitting there waiting to be assembled and sandwiches mostly are a spur of the moment.
