Maybe. It seems like everybody except for Kaede and Kokichi treat him like shit or, at best with indifference. Ironically, when the one character who was always on his side gets killed, he doesn't even care. Worse, he states as much before it actually happens to that individual's face, stating that the person will die alone and unmourned. Completely fucked up, but part of what I like about v3 because the supposed protagonists are just assholes.
