The short answer is: no.
The longer is that it's complicated: Durin was originally created by Rhinedottir (Gold) as she sought the peak of alchemy, the creation of life. During the Cataclysm he was among her creations that were released upon the world, but because of the nature of the materials used to create him he was poisonous to the world. And so the god responsible for Mondstadt (with a little help) killed him; only he didn't quite die, his heart remained full of vitality despite his bones becoming part of the landscape.
Rhinedottir was part of a coven of witches and some of these witches came together to create a story world which mirrored the "real" world in many ways, and it is in this story world that Scara, the MC and a few other characters purified story!Durin so that he could interact freely with others without hurting them; at this point story!Durin came under Scara's wing, purehearted and innocent in the way of children. Due to some shenanigans he was allowed to leave the story world and they met another of Rhinedottir's creations: a homunculus by the name of Albedo. Albedo has been working got years to resolve the hidden danger of real!Durin's heart and possibly revive him, but doing so could endanger the world as real!Durin might have truly become evil due to centuries of resentment and so he convinced story!Durin to try to overpower real!Durin's heart and fused them together during the process of making them a body/reviving Durin... which seems to have been at least partially successful (we aren't quite certain just yet). As far as his characterization and real relationship with other characters who can say at this point?
The parental Scara thing is mostly fanon but can be argued for while we're still lacking details.
