Yeah, internal docs confirm that the rest of the Japanese protags are 12 (at least as of Gen IV for Gold/Ethan and Gen VI for Brendan; they may have originally been 11 back in the original games). Hilbert is 14 according to Japanese-only interview back when the game came out, but it's unclear if that is also true of Nate in the sequel or if he is younger. A lot of fans misinterpret Emma's senpai comment towards Calem to mean that he is older than her (and she is confirmed 16), but it is more likely due to him being hired before her by Looker. Notably, Calem's friends are 10-12 (Trevor 10, Shauna 12, couldn't find anything for Tierno), so he is likely in that same ballpark. Elio is 11, same as Hau and Lillie. Can't find anything for the kids of Galar, but they seem to skew towards 12-14. Rei is guessed to be 15. Florian is really weird since his boyfriend Kieran is implied to be a teen but seems to otherwise be the same age as Florian, who seems more like a preteen. The upcoming Z-A's protag looks to be an older teen, a first for the mainline.
