>>148952890The kids are stunned and confused, but thankful. Zor tells them to run. They want to but are worried about him. They want to know how they can help or if they should get help. Zor says he knows a way for them to help, but it's no good. He doesn't trust them, or anyone else from this world yet. He says that mankind's fear, anger, etc. is what planted the seeds for the evil being/organization that doomed his future. Zor was never fully on-board with this plan, the plan to send him back in time to defend this world's future and foster pure-hearted heroes who could help him achieve that goal. He wanted to stay in the future and fight alongside his comrades, believing his mission here to be an impossible endeavor, since people from the past are surely primitive and heartless. The kids call him out on this, Bad Guy finishes collecting himself and goes to attack Zor.
The kids try to defend Zor (in their own way). Big Bad fires a blast at them that leaves them on death's door. Zor is shocked to see them try and protect him. He performs a scan on them (somehow) and searches them up in his database. To know they lost so much but still maintained their bravery and whatever spurs him on. To save their lives, he adds them to his Hero Registry, allowing him to share his reservoir of power with them. The kids gain powers, costumes, wake up, and with Zor, manage to send Bad Guy packing. Bad Guy runs off with a "You haven't heard the last of me..!" or whatever. Zor learns to give this timeline and its people a chance. Due to his injuries, and for convenience, he sets himself to his lowest power mode to recuperate, which makes him the size of a children's toy. He can go in and out of this mode.
And that's it.
