What is it about AI that makes it so obviously AI? I noticed it was AI even before catching the fucked up skull and papa bear. I think it's something to do with the composition as well, it's always really awkward and unnatural. No one's ever looking quite where they're meant to and poses are stiffer than normal

Most AI art has cannibalized itself now to the point where running any of the public generators largely results in something with this fugly yellow tint like a Deus Ex Human Revolution piss filter.
>>148976393
For me its the shading. AI always overcompensates and adds a but of extra shading for no reason. Likely because it's not working off one fixed light direction like a real artists would when they shade.

I noticed how bland the goth baddie's design and pose was compared to the others. It's like those Chinese knockoffs that take an existing character and do the bare minimum to turn them into a legally distinct one, with no regard to style or consistency

That pretty much describes it.

It's the same thing as the uncanny valley effect. An untrained eye might not immediately pic up on the details but your brain will subconsciously know something is wrong with the picture.

The fact that the people that spam it across the internet are literally poor third worlders using free models that are years behind what local is capable of. Local models still have tells if you look close enough, but they're significantly ahead of this fucking garbage. The people posting shit like OP literally cannot afford a proper graphics card so generate this shit on free services on their phones.

That's ridiculous. There's plenty of free stuff that is harder tell. Hell, the Dall-E fake CGI images look better than anything a local model can run.

I hate to defend AIfags but this. Look at those "AI generals" on boards like this one and then compare it to local model generals on boards like /g/ or /trash/. It's night and day.

First off no they're not. Second off people like OP only post these shitty-ass piss filter comics. Third off your image has a fucking phone filename which is only further underscoring my point.

They're just detailed anime waifus. Maybe they're more autistic with their prompts but ChatGPT and others online gen services can do a good enough job as well.
>Someone points out that local models are superior to free gens >Immediately has people jumping to defend the free gens
I always suspected that there were genuine shills of this stuff on /co/ but damn that's not even subtle.

I genuinely wonder where it stems from. The graininess too, neither are present on my local stablediffusion gens. It has to be something that chatgpt (or some other corpo ai, but I believe that's where yellow images come from) automatically adds when it transcribes your text into a prompt for the image ai. If it's accidental or intentional (such as to be easier to spot, or perhaps some leftover from Trying to make pictures "diverse" like Gemini did) is another matter.
