Has there been any news regarding Season 3? I remember in the time between S1 and S2 there were significant leaks and announcements and shit. Haven't seen much regarding S3, though, and since we're only a couple months away from it dropping (assuming it's getting aired around the same time as the last 2, Late July/August) I'm wondering if there was stuff and I just missed it like a retard or if there really has been nothing.

This upcoming Season 3 probably isn't even far enough along to start getting advertised. MAWS was greenlit for 20 episodes. They just divided it so that each season was 10 episodes with about a year in between the season premieres to give the team enough time to finish the second season. It was basically a year-long mid-season break that they're just calling as two separate seasons. The first 10 episodes took about two years to make assuming that they were all done by the series premiere. By that measure, you shouldn't expect a season 3 this summer.

Season 3 should be premiering in the fall (think October/November). Storyboarding finished on it at the beginning of the year (with most of the staff moving onto DC Super Powers) and it should be in post-production with most of the animation finished by now. Expect it to be the last season for awhile since Toonami's slate is full next year with Primal S3, Get Jiro, Rooster Fighter, and Ninja Kamui S2. The showrunner will be busy with My Adventures with Green Lantern soon too
