do you guys think we will ever hit a point where phyusical comics stop being sold and everything goes digital?

Physical copies of every other media are basically dead (DVDs, Blu-rays, Music CDs, Video games)

There might be less comic shops, but comic shops will remain for the reason they existed in the first place- to sell backissues of older copies. While you can sell online, a good amount of sales for these things come from in-person impulse, and even if you set up an online storefront there's reason to also sell in a physical location while you have everything already stored in a location.
Same way more record and retro game stores also pop up. The interest in these may be niche, but there will still be some, and places will exist to serve that niche.

i think the better question is how is it that after all these years there is still not a single good way to order comics online and have them arrive at your house every wednesday on time without fail or being damaged.

exactly this
plus a place for people to gather
one of the new game stops that actually OPENED in my city just moved some shit around and created an area for people to play, it appears poke card games? or other shit like that?
of course, this is in a nice, primarily white area of the county, near other high end stores

It isn't even convenient or cheap to buy floppies online, since shipping costs are high. Most non-collectible back issues cost between $1 - $5 at a LCS or a convention. While online, a back issue that costs $4 at a comic shop costs $8 - 12 online after shipping.

I live in a city of about 68,000 people. And there are 2 comic shops, 1 baseball card shop, and 1 card shop.

People like doing things as a community. Most people into TCGs and board games prefer playing in person instead online. Most people who have comics to sell to a store don't want to go out of their way to sell on Ebay.

Reading physical comics is a chore.

>Need a light source if you aren't in a well lit room
>Light reflects off the pages, annoying as hell
>Gutter loss. Really bad in HC and Omnibuses, leaving floppies and trades as the only good options
>These companies hate trade paperbacks and will sometimes delay them for years
>Highly prone to damage. Wear and tear is a big issue with floppies and trades.
>Need to be stored properly to avoid said damage
>The reading experience is objectively worse than digital. Your eyes are only looking at one section of the comic book at a time, same as reading zoomed in on your monitor. Except your monitor is brighter, displays colors more vibrantly and doesn't have light reflecting off of it making comics much easier to read.
