The Wacky World of Tex Avery is universally regarded as being an absolute trashfire of a show, but does anyone else think the Pomeii Pete segments are somewhat decent?

The show really wasn't that bad it just didn't deserve to have the name Tex Avery in its title

Biggest problem was that the "Heroes" were subhumans to a ridiculous degree

If you actually watch the Cartoon era this show was supposed to parody, they were actually relatable

Nah, it sucked. 5 of the 7 segments are just "Character A annoys Character B". Only Einstone and Power Pooch didn't follow this formula.

Also it was produced by DIC, so it was doomed from the start.

Sucks that Tex Avery's daughter had to get fucked over by DIC and had to get Chuck Jones involved so she could get a decent paycheck to get her kids through college.

If you look at the first pitch bible for that show, Squidward was supposed to get it much worse for little to no reason. If they didn't correct for the actual series then the show could've failed.
Theyre STILL making that mistake in 2025 after all the feedback they got for mishandling it after Hillenburg left. Watch "Plane to Sea", it's one of the worst.
