Right, and who was running these big social media companies? Older millenials. Zoomers are indeed retarded, that much is true. But the truth is they were taken advantage of. These big social media companies understand human psychology and how to take advantage of it. Most zoomers are blind to the tricks these companies use to keep them addicted to their platforms. But that's not really the fault of zoomers, so much as it is the fault of parents and the modern school system (which desperately needs an update). Parents aren't doing a good enough job explaining the dangers/pitfalls of social media to their kids.
I was a kid in the 2000's, and I find it funny how boomers, despite most of them knowing jack shit about technology, computers, and the Internet, gave the best advice regarding the Internet. They simply said "keep all of your personal info off of the Internet, because you never know who's going to use it." That was the right mindset to have. The Internet was this funny weird place, separate from real life. Now the Internet is fully integrated into real life, and both real life and the Internet are worse off for it.
