Like hell she does not have a x gene. The evidence clearly suggests she a mutant. I am sure we will get this explanation that her x gene simply did not activate untill a much later period. so by all appearance she simply appeared to be "Dead" and her soul has been in the white hot room ever since then. At any rate we do know several things for sure. First of all she is clearly remembers her death and more importantly she knows Peter is spider-man. Also she seems to be aware that her body was rotting away in the ground but how could she be aware of this unless she was not truly dead? face facts buddy mutant for sure.

I must say I find Peter being electrified by Gwen rather appropriate punishment since she died because of him. I guess there is only explantion that they were more krakoan resurrection eggs then we orginal thought. let's just assume some still exist and remain hidden by charles. And that somebody found one of them and then dug up Gwen since she or he or she knew she was a mutant. So he places her body in the egg and well you know the rest eventually it hatches and she comes back to life makes sense to me.
