How long does it take for a show to get dubbed to your country? 2-3 years? Do you get mad knowing that you get our sloppy seconds?

Almost no good shows are dubbed into Russian, especially now, so most of us just pirate everything in English or in any other original language + English subs. Most of us know English well enough to watch everything in it these days.

Since there's a strong dubbing industry with pro actors I don't think it takes too long once a show is licensed. We had japanese animation decades before the US became aware of it. Also anything from other countries, France, Italy, S America, the eastern bloc stuff

Depends on the show. If it's on streaming (Netflix, HBO Max etc.) the dub comes out at the same time as the original audio. If it's on cable, I'd say a few weeks? I know Rick and Morty is airing maybe two to three weeks after the original airing. As for the sloppy seconds, absolutely not. Dubbers (is that the word?) here are treated almost as celebrities, and there's a lot of respect for the "craft". I always like watching the dubbed version of a show after watching the original just to see how they adapted it.
