It seemed like the author thought hiding pieces of a body in paint cans was a fun way to get away with murder, then built a poorly constructed story around that with the tired idea - hurr hurr let's do gore with something that looks like a kid's book. I did try to like it but it seemed so surface level for reasons I'm having trouble explaining.
