Can't tell you how ecstatic I am about Smiling Friends coming back as early as this Autumn. I thought for sure we'd have another two-year wait, so this def means they'd already been working on more episodes long before Season 2 started airing. Adult Swim is finally learning

This. It's a huge flex if you can get people excited for a show that's nothing but one-off episodes. That means people aren't hyped for lore or anything but just find the premise and characters entertaining enough to want more
