It's so weird how Green Day went from borderline irrelevant to one of the biggest bands in the world off of a single album and then immediately blew it with their next two releases. After having already been really big in the early 90s. Such a strange trajectory for a band.

In what way? I've liked GD since I was in middle school and liked the vibes, but later understood their political importance and sympathize with their lyrics as I've gotten older.
