AUTO was an interesting villain. Unlike most other A.I villains, its goals are entirely benevolent in nature. AUTO doesn't want to destroy Humanity, its just following its programming because it believes that any deviation from its original plan would cause the death of those under its care. Also, it a weird fucked up way, he might be right. Its very likely most of the fat fuck Humans died after going back to Earth.

I would go so far as to say that the Racoon is a villain protagonist in Over the Hedge. He causes all the problems in the movie and causes the most suffering out of any character.

Robots ARE sentient in the film, they're not automatons. They can learn and grow and feel. They just need a little encouragement to do so, to snap them out of their routine. AUTO however was the only one who would not budge from his directives no matter what, WALL-E inspires everyone he meets in the film to break from their base directive and start living (from the humans also stuck in a waking trance of routine, down to the secretary robot he teaches to wave hello and goodbye). AUTO is completely static, hence why he has the MacInTalk electronic voice instead of a voice actor, he's meant to be the epitome of an automaton (organic or machine) who follows orders for orders sake.

His orders were not malevolent, and at the time they were given they were given to protect mankind, and he has done that for seven hundred years, they are all safe and comfortable, if stagnant, but the circumstances that caused his orders have changed, which he won't acknowledge.

The Wolf from Sing 2. That bastard koala scammer lied to him that he had celebrity connections. You don't lie to a major entertainment mogul like that and then expect him to forgive you. That kind of bullshit means the death of your career and frankly I didn't care if the Wolf was going to outright kill Koala Bastard. Koala Bastard was also lying during the first Sing movie giving out empty promises.

Also put in Death from Puss in Boots. If you live in a world where you know every magical being is real WHY would you ever directly insult Death? Puss is the twat who was begging for the Grim Reaper to come after him. To refer to the fairy tale Godfather Death you can't cheat Death because if you do you either pay for it immediately or later. Death never forgives and always wants what is due.

I seriously felt no sympathy for humans in Wall E. They ruined the Earth and went away for many thousands of years to become obese and by the time they considered they needed to work to fix the Earth to me that was too little too late. And I hated the bullshit about how all these obese humans who have never done anything are capable of using their stunted legs to walk. Realistically speaking given the humans in Wall E never walked while becoming obese their bones would be breaking incapable of supporting their fatty obese bodies.

The movie Wall E ended on an idealistic tone that despite the humans being obese and stupid, seriously they thought that you can grow pizzas the same way you can grow tomatoes and onions, that they will inexplicably get in shape and fix the entire world. Realistically speaking humans are finished. The Earth would eventually recover since the ecosystem is not damaged but humans outright don't have the brains and skills to survive anymore.

The most realistic way for the Humans in Wall-E to recolonize Earth is to do it extremely slowly and methodically. The ending to Wall-E was fucking crazy to me. Suddenly leaving their comfortable lives in a low gravity utopia to just start immediately walking around the surface would definitely cause major health problems and probably kill most of them. The best way they could have gone about doing it (which AUTO made impossible by refusing to consider going back) was to park the Axiom in low Earth orbit, slowly wean them off the utopian luxuries and conveniences they had while in space, force them to get fit and make them take over simple tasks that the robots use to do for them.
I don't think they would starve to death. So long as the Axiom remained mostly functional they would still have access to most of the amenities they need to survive until they can establish a proper colony on the trashy surface. Honestly this is why I wanted a Wall-E 2. While I don't trust modern Pixar to make a good movie, let alone a good Wall-E sequel, I love the idea of a sci-fi story about Humanity recolonizing Earth that they left in horrible condition and how they went about establishing the first new city while clearing the damage they left behind.
