By this point, it was just parody for fun.
But back when Animaniacs was making new episodes and Power Rangers was the hottest shit ever, it also got made fun of.
The animators felt threatened- rightfully so- that their jobs were at risk because the executives could just buy the rights to an anime that was already made, hire some voice actors, and make more money at a fraction of the investment.

Waht if I told you, that I think Japan excells in 3D animation? To me, Daima is far better animated than One Piece. It's all about the techniques they are forced/learn to use in school to animate their 2D projects. The same rules are not applied to 3D. So it's allowed to be better. And a better project with a big budget will always be better than a better project but with a lower budget (in case of 3D animations from western products).

Even the studio that SAVED the animation industry back in the 1980s (TMS/Telecom) were forced to do shitty action shows at gun point (and later shitty dramas that were even worse) because Wellesley Wild hated everything the studio stood for and wanted to make them suffer.

All of this would've been avoided if TMS (Telecom) got Animaniacs (and later Tiny Toons) back with ZERO AMERICAN/FOREIGN INVOLMENT so they can give Toei and Sunrise a run from their money.

That and have Looney Tunes Cartoons be done by TMS (Telecom), Studio 4°C, Trigger and OLM and make sure theres no Americans/foreigners in that production either, it would've done wonders.
