>>149103084Julia's history in comics is odd, she gets a big debut in Secret Wars, but then instead of testing the waters with a mini, or even guest appearances in other books, she doesn't appear at all for a year or two, eventually showing up on Freedom Force in the X-books, as the one actual good person on team full of villains. In an Avengers story she finally betrays Freedom Force and goes rogue, and shows up in a few different books as a fugitive with a bounty on her head, then she just disappeared for years again until West Coast Avengers and Force Works, where she became one of the most popular members of both teams. Then as soon as FW was cancelled she disappeared again, and got replaced as Spider-Woman.
It feels like hardly anyone within Marvel was interested in her, even when she became a popular Avengers character. Maybe they were all just NOT MUH SPIDER-WOMAN, even the ones who didn't care about Jessica much either.
