While having a big conflict event like Phineas vs Ferb might be interesting, I'm not sure how the show would do it without having them act fairly out-of-character. What would they even fight about? They're both so generally agreeable and open-minded that it stretches credulity to imagine them bickering over anything of consequence.

I know every character has fans, but I wonder if anyone out there is a super fan of Coltrane, I recently watched his episode and he was just kinda Jeremy but less interesting, Jeremy could've easily taken his role of teaching Baljeet in the episode.
Clearly they just wanted Stacy to have a boyfriend to contrast how easy it was for her compared to Candace with Jeremy, but they never really did anything else with Coltrane from what I remember, so now he just kinda exists in the background as Stacy's boyfriend, because what do teenage girls worry about? Boys. Same reason Candace constantly obsessed over Jeremy and Vanessa had a thing for Johnny before Monty came around.
Actually, that made me wonder if the show would ever do anything with Coltrane, or just silently break him up with Stacy so they can give her a more interesting love interest, they had no problem ditching Johnny in favor of Monty for Vanessa, so who knows?
Maybe they could actually pair Monty with Stacy now that she's closer to Perry's spy world, or maybe even CARL, any Carlacy shippers out there?

Despite the premise of the show being that nearly everyone has been previously divorced, I feel like it would bring the mood down too much to have a breakup of such a nice couple.
I actually liked how they showed with Vanessa and Monty that they never got together, never broke up, just sort of the passion fizzled out, BUT that same compatibility they felt is still there, it's friendly compatibility. And you'd be a fool not to keep an eye on that and give it a try, i'm sure they'll consider dating, but eventually change their minds

I'm very curious about what happened to Vanessa. The last time we saw her, she was A) joining OWCA at least as an intern, and B) extremely distraught at her dad doing evil stuff and elated that he has quit to spend more time with her anyway

Then he stumbled over to Milo's place for a while so she didn't see him either way.. and now she seems disaffected with his relapse, like whatever. and if she was with OWCA you'd think she'd have seen Monty more, I mean I seem to recall he decided not to follow in his dad's footsteps, but he'd still surely come see him at work from time to time..

Actually, I have a fuckin question about Carl because my brain is feeding me contradictory info here.. I distinctly remember Monogram handing his moustache to Carl and saying he's taking over, as a finale to their whole thing. But the wiki says he "went to college" (so he wasn't already there? he was doing some kind of pre-college internship?) in the finale, and was just promoted offscreen sometime before Act Your Age, so.. what am I remembering? I realize it's silly to want all this STORY from Phineas and fucking Ferb, but.. look what neat stuff they've done, fleshing these people out. Can't blame me for wanting more.

Recently rewatching the show made me realize Jenny had overall more of a presence in the show than Django.
Some people misremember Django bein part of the main group at some point, but that was never the case, the show had already settled early on on Isabella, Buford, Baljeet, and the Fireside Girls as the main supporting friends. Django was only really part of it in the circus episode. I think his highlight episode made some people accidently remember him being more important than he actually was.
Jenny on the other hand, while she never got a highlight episode, played many supporting roles in various episodes, even in Season, she's done more than Django, who so far has only appeared in the wedding song.
Of course later on, Jenny will stop doing things too, but still, there's a reason she's remembered slightly more than her brother.

Django was a bit of a sixth ranger at the very beginning, not part of the main cast, but the next named character after the main cast, I also remember he waved the flag for the chariot race, so that was something.

Check the episodes, you'd be surprised how early the already decided who the main gang should be.
Very early on it was just Isabella with the Fireside Girls as extras, sometimes just Isabella, and sometimes just Phineas and Ferb.
Episode 5a "Raging Bully", is when the main gang truly gets together for the first time, not as friends, since Buford is still an actual enemy here, but he and Baljeet finally get top billing after only having small roles in previous episodes.
However, the TRUE first time the main gang finally all get together as friends is episode 6a "Get That Bigfoot Outa My Face!". You got everyone who matters, Isabella, Buford, Baljeet, and the Fireside Girls, there's still some unnamed extras I believe, but they don't add much.
After that, episode 8a, Jerk De Soleil, is where Django makes his first and only appearance as "the sixth ranger" of the group, infamously eating breakfast at the Flynn-Fletcher house like he owns the place.
After this, Django almost fades into the background, he makes a nonspeaking cameo in "One Good Scare Ought to Do It!" and acts as the announcer in Greece Lightning, both episodes where the main gang is also used, yet Django isn't really part of it.
Then, after a lot of nothing, he finally gets his own episode in "Oil on Candace"... and that's basically it for Django lmao, he didn't do shit. And when season 2 came along, Irving pushed him further into the background, while Jenny got to have a few more roles.
In conclusion, Django was never really part of the main gang, he was kinda sorta somewhat close, but he really wasn't.

Ah, alright. Yeah I don't know if Povenmire and Swampy can keep it up that long either. They were already losing steam in season four of the original run. That this season came back so good is likely due a lot to how long it's been and how much time they had to come up with new material. It's a great return to form but I don't think this can go on forever either. Just like the original run there's risk of running out of steam and losing quality if it goes on for too long. Disney can run hopefully run Big City Greens into the dirt now that it's been shit for so long instead.

Phineas is a bit hot-headed at times, so the most likely scenario is that he’s the one who’s angry and Ferb is just confused about the whole matter. Phineas can be a bit more competitive and I feel like he probably wouldn’t handle humiliation very well. Maybe it could be something where Phineas goofs up in front of an audience, Ferb makes a quip about it and now everyone’s laughing, and Phineas thinks they’re all laughing at him. He storms off and the rest of his friends have to find a way to settle things because they need him to [something that needs to be completed before the end of the episode]. He’s just insulted by this, “oh, is that all I am to you now??” and now Ferb has to try and resolve things himself- and as you know, he’s never been much of a conversationalist… of course, everything works out well in the end. It’d still be pretty jarring, but I wouldn’t say completely out of character or too far off tone for the series.

Or you could do something where they’re unwillingly pit against eachother in a high-stakes contest and someone else is goading them on like “come on, don’t you want to prove that YOU’RE the better brother?? Don’t you want to win??” Culminates in some kind of invention showdown maybe, a proper duel, swords and all, but their swords open up revealing white flags, surrender, face the audience, “no prize would ever be worth treating my brother like that!!” and everyone had a happy ending. A bit more predictable and might have been done before and I just forgot, but far more in character.

Also, if I may talk about the movie again, I know this is the main cast of the show, but there were a bunch of other characters that were part of the Robot Riot scene and should've gotten their memories erased.
Just at the top of my head, Django was operating the Robotic Shark, Jenny was driving the Candace Crusher, Irving wore the legs of The Beak power suit, Albert drove the Holy Mackerel, Love Händel provided musical accompaniment, and then there were all the unnamed extras that helped out.
It's also kinda funny to me you could clearly see certain named characters operate certain inventions, but Jeremy wasn't seen anywhere, yet he got to be in the final scene, he's very lucky that Candace likes him.
Originally, we know he was meant to drive the Candace Crusher, but that was given to Jenny instead, I like to think he was the one driving Meap's ship in the finished movie.
And yes, I know they probably all still got their memories erased off-screen, but this is more about who the show considers important enough to have in the final scene, the extras being missing I get, but I at least would've expected the named side characters to show up way in the back or something.
