I would love if mike judge got a new show, but the real last episode was fine.
We all think we missed out on something because it got cut short but it didn't. It was a long run, and good art has boundaries.

the few clips had pretty bad animation. And the voices are definitely off even for the returning characters. It will need hell of a good writing for me to like it.

Maybe? I have a fair bit of faith in Mike Judge since I've enjoyed a lot of his work. The little of the Bevis and Butthead revival I saw was surprising good. That being said, they've had an unfortunate number of the cast die so I don't know how that would impact their doing future seasons if it's successful enough that Hulu wants more and if that's something Mike Judge wants to do

the animation was grounded, but still very fluid, even though the later seasons had a drop in quality, the didn't gut the movement, it still looked natural. now it looks stiff and ridged, cheap.

You look at the clips and tell me they'll ever be able to capture the atmosphere of the original show. The atmosphere absolutely does matter to KoTH. The later digital seasons were pretty run of the mill but I remember they did a decent job when they wanted to shoot for an atmosphere and not just spin their wheels in super basic stories with the same couple "sets." But I can't imagine the lifeless visuals of this revival ever making a scene look comfortable and immersive.

It's weirdly off-putting and not funny how Mike Judge more or less uses his natural speaking voice for Hank since the later seasons of the original run.

If Mike Judge is doing most of the writing, yes.

Most of the "Hank is backwards and WRONG" episodes were done by other writers and that'll only get worse with younger writers now.

The new Beavis & Butthead season was really good so I’m willing to give Judge the benefit of the doubt. The animation is very questionable and yeah the handshake joke was bad but it seemed edited for a trailer as a “haha that’s our Hank!” gag. I’ll save judgement for the actual final product.
